Who provides the service
AltoFocus (the website www.altofocus.app, the web app at app.altofocus.app and the iOS and macOS apps, together the "service") is operated by Štichauer s.r.o., company ID (IČO) 23312980, VAT ID CZ23312980, registered office Starobělská 1937/4, 700 30 Ostrava, Czech Republic ("we", "us").

By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms. How we handle personal data is described in the privacy policy.
Your account
- You can sign up with an e-mail address and password, or with Sign in with Apple or Google. You must be at least 15 years old.
- You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for activity under your account, including API keys you create.
- You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account → Delete account. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
Your data
- The content you put into the service (tasks, projects, goals, attachments…) belongs to you. You grant us only a non-exclusive permission to store, process and display it as far as needed to run the service — including AI processing, if you use it.
- When you share a project, its content becomes available to the people you invite. Areas, goals, vision and everything above projects are never shared.
- You can download your data through the REST API or ask us for an export.
Acceptable use
You may not use the service for anything unlawful, to store or distribute content that infringes others' rights, to send spam through invitations, to circumvent limits or security, to run load tests without agreement, or to scrape it outside the documented API. If you break these rules we may restrict access or close the account; where circumstances allow, we'll warn you first.
Objectionable content, reports and blocking
- Don't put content into shared projects or invitations that is unlawful, threatening, harassing, abusive, discriminatory, sexually explicit or otherwise objectionable, and don't use them to harass others.
- You can report an invite or a shared project in the app (Report on the invite or the project) or write to hello@altofocus.app. We respond to reports within 48 hours.
- You can block the sender of an invite and leave a shared project at any time. You won't get further invites from someone you blocked.
- We may remove content that breaks these terms and restrict or close the account of whoever posted it.
AI features
- AI features (the AI partner, morning brief, suggestions, review and planning guides, AI voice capture) are assistive tools. AI output can be inaccurate — check it before you confirm. It is not professional, legal, medical or financial advice.
- Risky steps (deleting, cancelling, bulk moves) happen only after your explicit confirmation. You are responsible for what you confirm.
- AI features are on only with your consent, and you can switch them off at any time in Settings → AI. Daily limits and a fair-use policy apply to prevent abuse.
API and MCP
Access through the REST API and MCP is for connecting the service to your own tools and agents. API keys are personal; don't share them. You are responsible for requests sent with your key. We may change the interfaces and will announce breaking changes in the documentation in advance.
Beta
The service is in open beta. Features may change, be added or be removed, and the service may have outages. During the beta the service is free, including features that will later be part of a paid plan.
Plans and payment
- Ground is free. Altitude will be a paid plan with a monthly or yearly subscription. Current prices and plan contents are on the pricing page.
- Paid plans haven't launched yet. Before we charge anything, we'll notify you by e-mail and in the app at least 30 days in advance. We never charge you without your explicit order.
- Once launched, subscriptions renew automatically for the next period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time; the plan runs until the end of the paid period and the account then returns to Ground without losing data.
- Payments in the iOS app go through the App Store and follow Apple's terms, including refunds. Payments on the web will go through the payment provider shown when you order.
- Consumers in the EU who subscribe on the web may withdraw within 14 days. If you explicitly ask for paid features to start immediately, you acknowledge that on withdrawal you pay a proportionate amount for the time used.
- We may change prices; we'll announce changes at least 30 days in advance and they take effect from the next billing period. If you don't agree, you can cancel.
Availability and changes
We aim for continuous availability but don't guarantee it. We may develop and change the service. If we ever shut it down, we'll announce it at least 60 days in advance, let you export your data, and refund any unused prepaid period pro rata.
Intellectual property
The AltoFocus name, logo, design, software and documentation belong to Štichauer s.r.o. or its licensors. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the service in line with these terms.
Liability
The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, indirect damage, or damage caused by relying on AI output without checking it. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months. These limits don't apply to damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, or to consumer rights that cannot be limited by contract.
Termination
You can end the agreement at any time by deleting your account. We may end it with 30 days' notice, or immediately for a serious breach of these terms.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. We'll tell you about material changes by e-mail or in the app at least 30 days in advance. If you don't agree, you can delete your account; continuing to use the service after the change takes effect means you accept it.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic. This does not affect rights that the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence gives you. Disputes are decided by the competent courts of the Czech Republic.

These terms exist in Czech and English with the same content. For users in the Czech Republic the Czech version is binding; for everyone else, the English version.
